Author: admin
Classic Game Room HD reviews DARKEST OF DAYS for Xbox 360 where you fight your way through history in this very interesting and bizarre first person shooter! Ever wanted to tear through the American Civil War with a futuristic machine gun, or run through the trenches in WW1 with superballs that save people from being wiped out of time??? Well, if you can take the technical glitches and jerky gameplay then you may really dig Darkest of Days for Xbox 360. This CGR review of Darkest of Days has gameplay from this science fiction / historical shooter where you engage in combat during the Civil War, WW1, WW2 and more. Antique weapons and sci fi artillery are at your disposal, but not all at once. Darkest of Days may just be the weirdest FPS you’ll ever play with a lengthy storyline and odd animation scenes. It’s not for everyone, but for those who enjoyed the Highlander TV show or Quantum Leap it may be right up your alley.

Classic Game Room HD reviews GIGA WING for Sega Dreamcast from Capcom released in 2000. This vertical scrolling SHMUP on the Sega Dreamcast has awesome gameplay that’s easy to pick up and play. Rack up a massive multiplyer by wasting thousands of enemy space ships and airplanes with four different weapon packed characters. One or two player gameplay rounds out this affordable and exiting Dreamcast shooter. Giga Wing is a space ship shoot ‘em up where you shoot enemies, power up your guns and reflect shots back at your opponents to rack up multiplyer points and earn an astronomical score. This CGR review of Giga Wing has gameplay from Giga Wing on Sega Dreamcast, which was originally released in the arcades. Giga Wing is one of many SHMUPS on the Dreamcast, but is it the best?

Classic Game Room HD reviews CHARGE ‘N BLAST for Sega Dreamcast from 2000! Aliens, meteors and insects oh my! Its your job to charge and blast them with immobile suites that move left and right. This CGR review of Charge N Blast for Sega Dreamcast has gameplay from this science fiction arcade shooter which has some very unique gameplay and bizarre enemies. Waste lizard men, Godzilla-knockoff monster and hordes of meteor bugs with three characters (theres unlockable characters when you beat each difficulty level). Play one or two players on screen at the same time. The challenging part of Charge N Blast is mastering a very odd control scheme where you move left and right, charge and blast. It sounds simple but gets increasingly more difficulty as the game progresses. Charge N Blast has some serious cheesy, campy sci-fi charm and is so bad at times its good. Dialog is awful, animations are terrible but the lizard people are awesome! Each character in the game has a little description of their personality in the instruction manual which is ever so helpful when charging and blasting aliens monsters for reasons unknown. This game was released for the Sega Dreamcast video game console in 2000 and is easy to find and collect today. The biggest flaw in the game is a lack of aim inversion when shooting.

Classic Game Room HD – RAIDEN FIGHTERS ACES review
Author: admin
Classic Game Room HD reviews RAIDEN FIGHTERS ACES for Xbox 360! Three SHMUPS on one game disc, Raiden Fighters Aces delivers the space ship shooting goodness with mountains of gameplay, awesome presentation and seizure enducing beats. Choose from dozens of space ships / airplanes in this SHMUP where instant power ups and mayhem are the name of the game, but beware, bullet shooter madeness awaits you in Raiden Fighters Aces and fancy weapons alone won’t keep you alive. Choose a fast ship or slow ship, heavily armed and chunky or quick and nimble. There’s a huge variety of aircraft and weapon diversification, enough to keep any vertical scrolling shooter fan happy with hours of gameplay across three fairly similar games. This CGR review of Raiden Fighters Aces has gameplay from Xbox 360 showing Raiden Fighters Aces being played in HD. Raiden Fighters Aces has 2 player co-op video game play and Achievement Points. For those of us who complain about a lack of awesome Shoot ‘em ups being released in the West, Raiden Fighters Aces delivers the goods.

Classic Game Room HD – TURRET WARS for iPod review
Author: admin
Classic Game Room HD reviews TURRET WARS for iPod. Show artillery some love! These cannons don’t move, don’t talk and can’t feel giddy. But they can wipe enemy turrets off the map with explosive shells! Booya! Turret Wars is fun, pick up and play arcade style goodness on your iPod Touch and iPhone. Turret Wars is an app where you cammand a gun turret and shoot enemy gun turrets across a 3D rendered map. This CGR review of Turret Wars, the video game app on iTunes, has gameplay from Turret Wars showing the video game in action in HD. Shell your enemies, collect power ups and health by hitting targets and get a high score up on the global leader boards. Turret Wars is addictive, fun and definately somewhat old school retro styled. Think Air Sea Battle meets iPod with that front of the missile perspective when shelling your opponents. Play realtime matches or turn based and choose from four different kinds of cannons.

Classic Game Room HD reviews CALL OF DUTY 4 MODERN WARFARE for PS3, also on Xbox 360. COD4 Modern Warfare is one of the most popular video games ever created and for good reason, you get a lot of game with this game! An awesome fantasty based James Bond adventure-style single player campaign where you have to stop a group of tyrants from destroying the world. COD 4 has an amazing ortment of modern weapons including the MP5 and Javelin. The frantic battle scenes and attention to detail that are in COD2 and 3 are back with a suitable amount of ferocity and overall gameplay is superb. This CGR review of Call of Duty 4 has gameplay from COD4 showing the game play during this video game review of COD 4 Modern Warfare, developed by Infinity Ward and published by Activision. Being that this is one of the most popular games ever made means that there are millions of people playing multiplayer deathmatch, team death match and other games online. PS3 Playstation Network performance was smooth and free of lag or complications. The XBLA Xbox 360 version is supposed to be well done too (we didn’t check that version though). The COD4 Game of the Year Edition also has a fun arcade mode where you can play through missions in the game to earn arcade-style points and rack up a huge multiplyer by playing well and wasting bad guys. Good times packed into one COD4 game disc here, good times… It’s just too bad it’s not on the Vectrex.
